Move your furniture and then put the pads under the legs again. The Pressure exerted from the weight of the furniture and transfered to the leg provides the connection needed to stop movement. The pad grips onto the leg and equally onto the floor at the same time, locking the floor and the leg together. Later when you replace your furniture, re-use the same pads since they were not glued to the bottom of the legs of the furniture you are replacing.
